摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner excellent in electrification characteristic and a one- component developing device preventing the occurrence of developing ghost or the adhesion of the toner whether long-term aging stress or heat stress is given or not. SOLUTION: This toner is constituted of toner particles whose volume average particle size is 3 to 10μm, and an additive added by 0.5 to 2.5 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. toner particles. In such toner, the weight ratio of the quantity of the additive which is not separated from the toner particles after the application of ultrasonic oscillation with 20 kHz of frequency and 60W of electricity for 30 minutes to the quantity of the additive before the application of the ultrasonic oscillation is within 10 to 30%. This device in which the above toner is used as developer is provided with a developer carrier 6 carrying the developer to a developing area A and a developer regulating member 7. In the carrier 6, the surface of a developing sleeve 4 is constituted of a resin layer 4b incorporating conductive particles, and the effective line length of <=3.8μm pitch of ruggedness formed on the surface of the sleeve 4 is desirably set to <=101%.</p>
