PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the equivalent series resistance at a high breakdown voltage and make a large capacitance at low cost, by mutually entirely contacting the upper and lower lead faces of capacitor elements stacked to form a series connection, and housing them in the same metal case; each element having a solid electrolyte of gel thereof between electrodes and lead faces at the top and bottom of the element. SOLUTION: A solid electrolyte or gel thereof is formed between electrodes disposed at both sides of a separator, and an anode lead face 7 at the top of a capacitor element 2f contacts the entire cathode lead face 8 at the bottom of this element. Such elements are stacked and contacted face to face to form a series connection. The lead face 7 of the uppermost capacitor element 2a contacts the entire Al terminal plate 12 disposed thereon. Such six capacitor elements 2 are e.g. housed in series in an elongated metal case 10. |
