PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a point of sales(POS) system that can efficiently perform data processing without generating communication hindrance at a host device independent of conditions of transmission data from a POS terminal. SOLUTION: This system performs tabulation processing by receiving and collecting transmission data regarding POS terminals 1, 2 and 3 for collecting data by an automatic reading and specific management processing from each of the POS terminal 1, 2 and 3 and, at the same time, is connected to a host device 4 for executing management control regarding data collection at each of the POS terminals 1, 2 and 3. Then, at each POS terminals 1, 2 and 3, the transmission data regarding the specified management processing in accordance with the number of kinds of the specified management processing are transmitted to the host device 4 once and the host device 4 makes a distinction of the transmission data regarding the specific management processing in accordance with the number of kind of the specified management processing by each POS terminals 1, 2 and 3, successively receives, holds them and executes the tabulation processing. |
