PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unnecessitate any change at a data base side by checking the literal of a transferred data base access sentence, converting it into a data base access sentence suited to this literal, and performing access to a data base. SOLUTION: Access from an application 112 to a data base 20 is inputted to a CLI driver 114. At that time, a conversion information storing part 154 is checked in an SQL sentence converting part 152, and when the information of a column being the object of access is present, an SQL sentence is converted by using the information of the column. When any information is not present in the conversion information storing part 154, the literal of the SQL sentence is checked, and it is converted into a proper SQL sentence. The converted SQL sentence is transmitted to a data base engine 122 by a dynamic SQL request executing part 158, and executed to data 130. The executed result is transmitted to an error judging part 156, and error information indicating that it is erroneous or normal is transmitted to the conversion information storing part 154.
