PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a sufficient kneading amount by a simple means although powder material used for lithium battery electrode slurry has low bulk density in general, only a little weight can be thrown into the volume of a kneading device, and the sufficient amount against the capacity of the kneading device can not be obtained in a batch kneading device. SOLUTION: When powder material mainly composed of electrode active material and an electro-conductive agent and liquid material are kneaded using a batch kneading device, first 20 to 90 wt.% of the whole amount of the powder material required for kneading are put into a kneading device. Thereafter, the remaining amount of the powder material is put on the way of the kneading, and the kneading is further continued. Thereby, the volume resulting from the bulk reduction of the powder material in the kneading can be effectively used, the productivity of the kneading device can be enhanced, and battery electrode slurry having equivalent battery performance to a current manufacturing method without coagulated lumps can be manufactured. |
