PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance initial discharging capacity and cycle characteristics by improving a positive electrode material in a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery provided with a positive electrode using lithium transition metal composite oxide as the positive electrode material, negative electrode and nonaqueous electrolyte. SOLUTION: This nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery provided with a positive electrode 1 using lithium-transition metal composite oxide as a positive electrode material, negative electrode 2, and nonaqueous electrolyte, has as the positive electrode material, the lithium-transition metal composite oxide including at least Ni, Co, and Mn. The same whose half width of a peak existing in the range of 2θ=18.71±0.25 deg. measured by powder X-rays diffractometry using Cu-Kα as an X-rays source is 0.22 deg. or less is used. |
