PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a mail transmission on a reception side to be surely confirmed by calling a telephone number of the opposite party of a mail and transmitting as a hand shake procedure signal embedding information for indicating the transmission of a mail in non-standard procedure signal. SOLUTION: A main control part 1 prepares a data file such as a page number, a title or the like on a mail to be transmitted at the time of transmitting a mail, calls a facsimile number of the opposite party of the mail and runs software for transmitting a hand shake procedure signal which embeds the contents of the data file for indicating a mail transmission in the non-standard procedure signal. A reader part 2 reads the facsimile number of a document by a CCD or the like and outputs picture data of a black-and-white binary document. A recording part 3 is equipped with a printer of electrophotograph system and the like and records the picture data of the document received from other G3 facsimile or an internet. A display part 4 is provided with a liquid crystal display device and so on and displays a state of the operation of the facsimile equipment or the picture data of the document. |
