PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter which can suppress the continuation and increase in vibrations caused by interference with the resonance frequency of the mechanical system of a power generator and a power system incorporating the power converter. SOLUTION: A power converter is provided with a circuit, which fetches the natural frequency component of the mechanical system of a power generator from an output current detector 30 of the converter and suppresses the component. The power converter is provided with a low-pass filter 30c so as to cut off components other than the DC component from the output of a coordinate converter 30b, and the output of the filter 30c can only fetch the amplitude of the natural frequency component of the power generator. A controller 30d generates a vibration suppression correcting value by performing control operation, such as the proportional integration, etc., with respect to a detected amplitude after subtracting the output of the filter 30 from a reference value '0'. |
