PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent irregularities in the rotations of an image carrier and a developer carrier by rotating a butting member provided for arranging the developer carrier and the image carrier facing it, while keeping a prescribed gap, in the state that slipping is little and in contact with a confronted part. SOLUTION: An elastic body part 12 of a butting member 1 and an image carrier 3 or a rigid body part 21 of a developer carrier 2 which is opposite to the butting member 1 are both rotated in an abutting state with an arbitrary width as to the rotational direction. Therefore, slipping hardly occurs in an abutting part. Further, the rigid body part 11 of the butting member 1 is fixed to integrally rotate with the elastic body part 12. Thus, slipping hardly occurs in the abutting part of the rigid body part 11 of the butting member 1 with the image carrier 3 or the rigid body part 21 of the developer carrier 2 which is opposite to the butting member 1, as well, regardless of the fact that the rigid body part 11 of the butting member 1 and the image carrier 3 or the rigid body part 21 of the developer carrier 2 which is opposite to the butting member 1 are both rotated in a point contact state as to the rotational direction. Consequently, the irregularities in the rotations of the image carrier 3 and the developer carrier 2 can be prevented. |
