METHOD AND DEVICE FOR RECORDING AND REPRODUCING VIDEO SIGNAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video signal recording and reproducing method and a video signal recording and reproducing device by which an excellent reproduced image is continuously obtained. SOLUTION: Base band digital video signals are distributed to RAID 50-1-50-5 and stored therein (figure A). In the case that the video signals stored in the RAID 50-4 cannot be read, signals whose level is '00' are used for the video signals in place of those read from the RAID 50-4 (figure B). Serial video signals DMS are obtained by using video signals DRM-1-DRM-5 read from the RAID 50-1-50-5 (figure C). In the case that a level of the video signals DMS is '00', the signals DMS are respectively concealed by using adjacent video signals respectively to obtain levels 'D4'' and 'D8'' and to produce signals DCR (figure D). Even when the video signal cannot be read from the RAID, an excellent reproduced image is continuously obtained based on the signal DCR.
