PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain high-quality image without any defects in an image, without causing failure in transfer by executing constant-current control, so as to prevent a current from flowing between plural conductive members approaching or coming into contact with recording materials or with dielectrics, or dielectric members, through the use of the recording materials, while images are formed. SOLUTION: A transfer belt 130 for holding/carrying the recording materials is provided and the current flowing through the conductive members coming into contact with the recording materials or with dielectric layers is controlled during the formation of the images. In other words, it is constituted so that the driving roller 13 of the transfer belt 130 is connected to a main body ground through a constant-current power source 70 and the constant-current control for preventing the current from flowing between the driving roller 13 and a transfer electrifier 24d or the driving roller 13 and a photoreceptive drum 3d can be executed by the constant-current power source 70. Thus, a transfer current is prevented from escaping to the main body ground through the driving roller 13 and further, the flowing of the current caused by the destaticization of the transfer belt 130 can be prevented as well to eliminate the defect in the image due to the failure in the transfer. |
