PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of stably applying lubricant. SOLUTION: Plate-like solid lubricant 23 having nearly the same width as that of an intermediate transfer belt 12 is attachably/detachably provided on the belt 12. The lubricant 23 is housed inside a bracket 24 through a leaf spring 26, and always pressed in a belt 12 direction. Consequently, the lubricant 23 is pushed out in the belt 12 direction as being worn. The bracket 24 and a stopper are positioned so that the lubricant 23 can be surely separated from the belt 12 when the lubricant 23 in an initial condition is operated to be separated. A filler and a photointerruptor can detect the life of the lubricant 23. |
