Package comprises a series of double plastic discs (1) inserted between slices of food products. The pairs of discs are linked by a flexible tongue (2). Preferably the two discs in each pair are connected by a tangential join (3). The discs and tongues are made from an appropriate food grade plastics, especially authorised polyester films, and ethylene glycol polyterephthalate in particular. One of the materials making up the discs and/or tongues can be aluminium foil. The discs are equal in size or slightly greater than the slices of food products, and a pair of discs is inserted between slices after folding along the join (3).
