PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Internet phone by which an opposite party is confirmed before connection to the Internet phone without incuring a change. SOLUTION: This telephone set is made up of a communication means that makes communication on an Internet, a caller ID detection section 11 detecting a caller ID, a central control section 12, an Internet phone number storage section 13, and an access number storage section 14. A caller makes dialing by a conventional telephone set to inform an event of a phone call to an opposite party through an Internet 7, a called party detects the caller by the caller ID and makes dialing to the caller. The caller uses a caller ID detection function to find that the called party is available through the Internet so as to confirm the opposite party before Internet phone connection free of charge.
