PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the degradation of a transfer condition caused by pressure from a transfer roll by rotatably supporting first and second rotary members through the use of two casings capable of actually integrating the first and second rotary members, while an image is formed and separating the first and second rotary members, while the image is not formed, respectively. SOLUTION: During the normal image forming operation, a transfer roll unit 37 and an intermediate transfer body unit 36 are housed in an image forming device, in a state where the units 37 and 36 are integrated by pin- joining. Then, a transfer roll supporting frame 27 is firmly connected to the intermediate transfer body supporting frames 24 and 25 of the intermediate transfer body unit 36 by pins 33 and 34. Therefore, the press-contact state between a photoreceptor 2 and an intermediate transfer body 8 is uniformly kept, without deforming the unit 36 by the transfer roll supporting frame 27. On the other hand, while the image is not formed, the unit 37 is pulled to the side of an operator, to release joining to the unit 36 and pull the unit 37 out of a device main body. |
