<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step-down circuit device which has a standby mode so that even if a load current increases for some reason or other during the standby mode, a drop in output potential can be recovered speedily. SOLUTION: When a standby control signal is in standby mode, the potential VDD from an external supply source 1 is applied to the input terminal of a load current supply means 2. The potential at the output terminal of the load current supply means 2 in the stationary state of the standby mode at this time is denoted as VO. The potential VDD is applied to one end of the load current control part 4 and the potential VO is applied to the other end; and the load current control part 4 generates a potential corresponding to the potential difference at its output terminal to control the load current supply means 2. If the potential VO at the output terminal O varies for some reason or other, the potential difference applied to the load current control part 4 varies. Then the potential generated at the output terminal of the load current control part 4 varies and the load control supply means 2 is adjusted to cancel the variation of the potential VO at the output terminal.</p> |
