PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a device compact and copying ability high by performing double-sided copying on many sheets without being restricted by the housing capacity of a stacker for doublesided copying provided in a reversing and carrying part of a copying paper. SOLUTION: When a mode for copying on both sides of copying paper from a both-side original is selected, the original is carried from an original carrying part, the copying paper is carried and an image is formed, so that the image of the first side of the original is copied on the first side of the copying paper. The number of copies is counted at a paper ejection part so as to judge whether or not to attain a set number. Next, the number of copies is compared with the copying paper housing capacity of the stacker, that is, the maximum number of copying paper housed in the stacker. When the number of copies is larger than the capacity, operation is shifted to original reversing and carrying operation. The original is reversed and carried, the copied paper is reversed and carried and the image is formed, so that the second side of the original is copied on the second side of the copied paper. In such doublesided copying, the number of copies is compared with the set number, and when they are equal, copying operation is finished. |
