PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the closure for an optical fiber cable which facilitates branch connecting operation for a coated optical fiber without any decrease in reliability. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable closure is equipped with a closure main body 21 where one-end sides of optical fiber cables 2a and 2b, and 3 to be connected are fixed, a tray 22 which stores the mutual connection parts between the coated optical fibers 5 and 6 of the optical fiber cables 2a and 2b, and 3 provided in the closure main body 21, and a storage tray 23 which stores a looped breakless through coated optical fiber. Even when a coated optical fiber which is looped is stored in the storage tray, the internal size of the storage tray 23 is larger than the maximum radius of curvature of the coated optical fiber and such a diameter that the core length of one pitch of the stranding of the coated optical fiber 5 stored in the optical fiber cables 2a and 3b is the circumference can be secured, so no unreasonable force is applied to the coated optical fiber. |
