PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the illuminance of a projected liquid crystal color image and to attain the simplification of the constitution and the miniaturization of a projector by providing plural reflection mirrors for sequentially reflecting three primary colors of light emitted from a light source, a liquid crystal panel for sequentially displaying a monochromatic image among color images, and a projecting lens for projecting each monochromatic image on a screen. SOLUTION: The rotary reflection mirror 2 for reflecting the light emitted from the light source 1 toward the liquid crystal panel 4 is a regular hexagonal columnar mirror constituted of R, G and B reflection mirrors for reflecting light of red, green and blue colors among three primary colors, respectively. Each R, G and B image displayed on the liquid crystal panel 4 in time-division manner is projected through the projecting lens 7 with time-synchronized light reflected by the rotary reflection mirror 2. The color image 8 such as each R, G and B image successively displayed on the liquid crystal panel 4 through which light of a specified wavelength and reflected by each R, G and B mirror face of the rotary reflection mirror 2 passes is successively projected on the screen 10 by the reflection of the rotary reflection mirror 2. The images appear in an overlapped state within an afterimage time, then, the color image is obtained on the screen. |
