PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bright clear display which is not viewed double even though the display is viewed from an oblique direction by respectively providing color filters and light reflecting layers inside both base plates interposing polymer dispersed liquid crystal. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a first base plate 1 constituted of such a transparent base plate made of glass, etc., a transparent electrode 5 for display formed on the surface of the base plate 1, and the color filters 4r, 4g and 4b of red, green and blue. Besides, the light reflecting layer 6 and a pixel electrode 7 for display constituted of the transparent electrode are formed on the surface of the second base plate 2 constituted of the transparent base plate made of the glass, etc. The layer 6 has visible light reflecting function required for display and ultraviolet rays transmitting function required for mutual separation. Thus, the filters 4r, 4g and 4b, and the layer 6 are provided adjacent to the polymer dispersed liquid crystal before the irradiation of ultraviolet rays, so that a display part is not viewed double even in the case of being viewed from the oblique direction, and the bright clear display can be obtained. |
