PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger for a battery, which does not cause overcharge of short charge, even in the case of having charged both the battery where the peak at the last stage of charge appears remarkably and the battery where the change of battery voltage is slow and the appearance of the peak at the last stage of charge is dull. SOLUTION: The voltage of a battery is sampled in fixed cycles. Next, the voltage of the battery detected with a sampling means is stored. Next, the newest voltage of the battery and the voltage of two or more pieces of batteries sampled in the past are compared with each other to judge the full charge. Then, the variation of the battery voltage in sampling width is found for two or more pieces, and when the variation of any battery voltage becomes larger than the set value corresponding to each sampling width and subsequently falls under the set value corresponding to each sampling width, it is judged to be fully charged. |
