According to the invention, the procedure resides in reconstruction of the thoracic wall after perietectomy and is achieved by associating, in the construction of the new thoracic wall, of two different materials, namely semi-rigid semisynthetic net, synthetic or metallic laminae, in addition to the muscular plasty with the serratus major muscle and the latissimus dorsi, the metallic lamina/laminae being intercalated between two nets, made rigid through being sewn in; in turn, the structure thus achieved is placed with the laminae in the vertical plane, on the longer axis of the defect, the laminae resting on the undamaged costal arches and being fastened on the undamaged ribs, the stumps of the resected ribs and the soft edges if the parietal defect, so that they cover completely the lack of parietal substance, and the muscular plasty is achieved through mobilising the serratus major towards the front, fastening it in this position and passing the latissimus dorsi over the prosthesis thus achieved.
