PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image fixing device stably obtaining an image having high quality. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a heating fixing roll 10 rotatably arranged, an endless fixing belt 20 arranged so that it can be driven and traveled while being brought into contact with the heating fixing roll 10 and a pressing member 30 arranged at the inside of the fixing belt 20 and also pressing the heating fixing roll 10 through the fixing belt 20 so as to form a nip part 16 where a recording sheet holding an unfixed toner image passes between the fixing belt 20 and the heating fixing roll 10; and the fixing belt 20 possesses a sliding mold-released layer incorporating at least a silicon compound on a surface where the pressing member 30 is brought into contact and slid. The silicon compound is desirably constituted of at least two kinds selected from a silane compound, a silicone resin and modified silicone oil having a reaction group in a molecule.
