A process for improving the stability of random copolymers (I) of propylene with 2C and 4-16C alpha -olefins, having a propylene content of 80-99.5 mol. % against ionising radiation is claimed. The random propylene copolymers (I) are mixed with an ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR) (II) having a propylene content of 30-70 wt.% and a solution viscosity f 0.7-5.3 dl/g. Preferably the heterophasic olefin copolymer (III) contains 50-97 wt.% random copolymer (I) and 3-50 wt.% EPR (II). (I) has a propylene content of 85-99 mol.% and is a random copolymer of ethylene and propylene. (III) comprises a matrix phase of (I) containing a dispersed EPR phase (II).
