A dual port computer interface card for controlling a number of peripheral devic es such as video game controllers with 23 separate analog inputs and outputs. This card uses a single 16 Bit ISA (International Standard Architecture) connector on a PC (Personal Computer) bus for all input a nd output functions. An address decoder enables the on board functions of the card when polled by a comp uter software program. Once enabled, the computer program can need or write data to or from the card. T he stored data in the card's memory is the converted analog input obtained from peripheral devices connected to the input port. When a read request is made by the software, this data will be output to the PC data bu s and the card returns to a monitoring state. When a write request is made by the software, the card will re ad the data from the PC bus and store it into a specified memory address. This digital data will be converte d to an analog signal and output to one of the pins of the output port. A peripheral device connected to this out put port and equipped to receive this signal will produce the appropriate function or action.
