The draw cord (20, 20') in the band body is longitudinally displaceable and - according to the folding formation required - (32, 33) and sectionally has freely running floating sections on the rear side (12) of the band body. At least sectionally, the band (10) is double-layered in each band longitudinal zone where the draw cord runs. The double layers comprise a first layer formed by the band body itself and a cover strip forming the second layer. The cover strip is arranged on the rear side (12) of the band body, runs in the band longitudinal direction and covers the rear side floating sections of the draw cord.
