<p>Martensite stainless steel of a high corrosion resistance to carbon dioxide, a high strength and a high tenacity, not having the possibility of occurrence of cracks even when the steel is used as welded and cathodically protected, the steel having the following basic composition (1): at most 0.04 mass% of C, 7-15 mass% of Cr, 0.7-8.0 mass% of Ni, 0.001-0.20 mass% of A1 and a specified quantity of at least one kind of element selected from Si, Mn, Cu, S, Nb, Ti, Zr, Mo, W, Ca, Mg and La; and satisfying the following conditions (2): M=98+47C-1.1Cr+1.4Ni-150Al-200Nb-50Ti-200Zr-22(Mo+0.5W)≥50... 1 P≤0.046-0.0008HRC ... 2 wherein the element symbols in formulae (1)-1 to (1)-4 and (2) represent the contents (mass%) of the respective elements, and HRC in formula (2) the Rockwell hardness (C) of the steel as quenched.</p> |
