Apparatus for cooking dishes by applying heat from the outside to the produc t to be cooked, which heat is transmitted by means of a current of hot air. Ho t air is made to circulate in an essentially closed space and the product to b e cooked rests on a receiving element (10) forming a receiving base (11) designed to receive said product. To be able to heat small portions of food in an energy-saving manner the invention provides for air to be able to circula te through the receiving base (11) of the receiving element (10) and for the ho t air to be guided in such a way that it flows through the product to be cooke d essentially at right angles to the receiving base (11) of the receiving element (10). |
