After having initiated the consumption of a beverage contained in a bottle of considerable capacity such as for example a bottle of 2 litres, the method comprises providing to said bottle a pressure which is appropriate to a avoid the leakage of gas diluted in the beverage during the period of time which will elapse before drinking again said beverage. To this effect, the conventional plug of the bottle or container is substituted by a complementary plug (1) with similar characteristics and which incorporates additionally a one way valve (4) which, on the one hand, maintains sealed and stable the closure and, the other hand provides for the introduction of pressure gas inside the bottle at the appropriate time.
