The adjuster has a rotary arm (5) for brake adjustment mounted on at least one adjusting slide (7) which controls at least one adjusting spindle (8,9) for movement of a brake pad in the direction of the rotor. The adjusting spindle is rotated to adjust the brake. There is a one way rotary coupling and an overload coupling operating in the adjustment direction. The one-way coupling and the overload coupling are built into a combined one-way rotational coupling assembly.
