Separation device for parquet strip classification scanner

The separation device has a rotating toothed drum (130), which receives the individual parquet strips between its adjacent teeth from a continuous parquet strip stream on a feed conveyor (8). The parquet strips stream is then delivered onto a feed-off conveyor (14) at a given relative spacing. The toothed drum is provided by a pair of spaced cog discs mounted on a common rotation shaft. The feed-off conveyor may have regularly spaced ridges along its surface, between which the parquet strips are deposited.
