Gas discharge lamp

The gas discharge lamp (1) has a glass bulb (2), inside of which two electrodes (3,4) protrude, so that in operation a plasma is formed between the two electrodes. The electrodes in the inside of the glass bulb are connected across a conductor structure (7), which forms a part spark stretch (6). The conductor structure is formed by pads (8) arranged in a row. The conductor structure is fitted on the inner side (5) of the glass bulb. The conductor structure may be designed as a thick layer structure. The pads may be made of metal, a metal alloy, a conducting ceramic or cerium.
