<p>The present invention provides a cap connector and electrical connectors forming an electrical connector assembly in which positioning is accurately performed in the pitch direction of the electrical contacts of the electrical connectors and in the direction perpendicular to the pitch direction, in which the outward moving and inward constriction of the electrical connectors are prevented, and in which a plurality of electrical connectors can be simultaneously held. The electrical connector assembly (1) comprises a plurality of electrical connectors (30, 40), and a cap connector (10) which holds the connectors (30, 40). The cap connector (10) has a plurality of positioning plates (23, 24) which are formed so that the positioning plates (23, 24) protrude from locations near both ends of a plurality of cap sections (11, 12). The respective connectors (30, 40) have positioning-plate insertion grooves (35, 45) which are formed between pairs of extending side walls (34a, 34b; 44a, 44b) that extend from the end walls of the housings (31, 41), and into which the positioning plates (23, 24) are inserted along the pairs of extending side walls.</p> |
