The system has a guide unit (3), which is formed as a guide tube, to take the endoscope to be tested. A lens system (6) is arranged as an ocular at the proximal end (4) of the guide tube. In addition a holding part (12) is provided for the reception and fixing of the endoscope, which is movable in the direction of the optical axis of the lens system. The holding part is a cylindrical guide body. The outside diameter of the holding part is matched to the inner diameter of the guide tube. The holder piece has a central passage opening (13) for the guiding in and fixing of a sleeve tube (7) of the endoscope (2) to be tested. The inner diameter of the passage opening is matched to the outer diameter of the sleeve tube.
