A polymer coating containing anti-infective and anti-inflammatory agents coat medical devices, e.g. tube (10), for intubation into the body. More specifically the anti-infective agent can be iodine, the anti-inflammatory agent can be either a steroid or non-steroid and the intubation device can be endotrachael tube (10).
