HEAT TRANSFER APPARATUS AND METHOD

An apparatus for providing heat-transfer (cooling) of a potable substance (e.g. a beverage) consists essentially of heat-exchangers (101, 14, 15, 19) which are placed in operative association with a barrel (10) for the beverage. The transfer of heat to and from the heat-exchangers is controlled by means of a thermo-electric block (21) and an associated regulator (22) operatively associated with a cooling system including a radiator (25), a fan (26) and a pump (27). The beverage is dispensed from the barrel (10) through a dispenser head (13) assisted by a gas supply (17) and tubing such as "Python" multibore tubing (18) to a dispenser unit (20).
