Computer=aided diagnosis device for electronically-controlled systems in motor vehicle

The device includes a first type of computer, outside the system (31,32,33,3n), which contain an expandable diagnosis program. One or more computers of a second type (21,22,23,24,2n) contain dynamic link libraries, to expand the diagnosis program. The expandable program has access to the electronically-controlled systems (S11-S14,S21-S24,S31-S34,S41-S44,S51-S54,S1n,S2n,S3n,S4n,S5n) to be tested. Interactions between one computer of the second type and the electronically-controlled systems is enabled by allowing the computer of the first type and the computers of the second type to exchange data and programs through a network using internet technology. The computer of the first type may be a server. The computers of the second type may be placed in any desired location. The diagnosis program may be a JAVA applet, with the dynamic link libraries being programmed in C language. Data may be displayed as web-pages.
