The method involves using allocating different, selected communication partner or groups to stored audio-sound tunes. Caller and called communication apparatus can be acoustically identified. Preferably, longer tunes can be played, called or combined. A tune can be played after terminating information transmission, as acoustic additional termination tune. Each tune can be provided with or without preferences having user codes and can be easily recorded or exchanged. The tunes can be played with or without user codes manually or with additional volume regulation dependent on the environment noise via earplugs or loudspeaker.
