COMPACTED INORGANIC PIGMENT GRANULES CONTAINING POLYALKYLENE GLYCOL, LIGNIN SULPHONATE, OR CELLULOSE ESTER

Inorganic compact pigment granules having an ave. dia. of 50-1000 mu m, a water content of not more than 3 wt.%, and a bulk density of 0.2-1.8 g/cm<-3> comprise technical inorganic pigment powders and auxiliary agents of: (a) polyalkylene glycols of molecule wt. less than 2000 and where alkylene is ethylene or propylene; (b) lignin sulphonates; and (c) cellulose ether of viscosity less than 1000 mPa.s in 2 wt.% aqueous solution at 20 degrees C, in an amount of 0.1-4 wt.% per auxiliary agent. The total amount of auxiliary agents does not exceed 0.5-5 wt.%. Also claimed is a method for the production of the granules.
