The inner surface of the outer wall (8) of air conduit (6) is covered at least partially with a filter medium (20) e.g. activated carbon. Preferably, the filter medium is applied as a covering on an adhesive substrate (26), which is bonded to the conduit wall (8) along part of the conduit length, and consists of active carbon and/or an adsorber resin. Also claimed are (i) an air conduit, with an internal fume adsorbing filter medium lining, for the vehicle air conditioning system; and (ii) a method of producing the above conduit from two half shells.
