摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic toner rapid in rising in electrostatic charging of a toner and superior in potential stability, fluidity, and the like by mixing chargeable toner particles under application of mechanical straining stress so as to increase the content of particles of <=5mum particle diameter. CONSTITUTION:The chargeable toner particles having an average particle diameter of 5-20mum are mixed under mechanically straining stress to form particles having an average particle diameter of 5-20mum and increased in a particle diameter distribution of <=5mum. The application of mechanically straining stress means application of mechanical energies composed essentially of impact force to the particles and occasionally causing mechanochemical reaction, thus permitting the toner particles having crushed shapes to be rounded off, formed into smooth spheres, enlarged in the coatact areas with carrier particles or the like, so, rapidly raised in charging, and accordingly, enhanced in chargeability and fluidity.
