A preform for the fabrication of surface mountable solid state capacitors is disclosed. The preform comprises an integral metallic anode plate (10), an integral metallic cathode plate (21) in parallel spaced relation to said anode plate (10), a plurality of solid state capacitors (c) interposed between said plates, said capacitors each including an anode fused to said anode plate, and a cathode plate (21), said capacitors being mutually spaced apart to define a network of intercommunicating channels (17) between said capacitors. <IMAGE> |
