The periphery of the bicycle wheel has a channel for receiving a tire (5). The channel is delimited by an upper bridge (10) without any holes, except that for the valve (6), and two lateral flanges (14,15). The flanges have brackets (16,17) for fastening the tire. The upper bridge has a central narrow steep sided groove (20) with two edges (24, 25) slanted from the groove towards the flanges. |
