SPINNERET FEEDER FOR PRODUCTION OF FIBERS FROM THERMOPLASTIC MATERIALS, IN PARTICULAR, FROM MELT OF ROCKS

FIELD: production of continuous fiber from melt of rocks, in particular, designs of spinneret feeder; may be used at plants producing fibers. SUBSTANCE: spinneret feeder has body formed by side and end face walls, spinneret plate and heater. It additionally contains shield in the form of U-shaped trough with through holes and flanging in upper part. Shield and feeder body are joined by means of put-on weld over join flange. Side walls are joined with spinneret plate also by means of put-on weld which is located on inner surface of spinneret plate. Width of put-on weld is not less than 3 mm. Ratio of summarized sections of through hole of U-shaped trough to summarized sections of through holes of spinneret is 0.7-1.2. EFFECT: higher output and service life of spinneret feeder and the unit as a whole. 2 dwg
