<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently decompose and remove the tar contained in a combustible gas formed when wastes are gasified in a fluidized-bed gasifier to thereby make it possible to fully utilize the combustible gas and to recover its sensible heat. SOLUTION: A combustible gas formed when wastes are gasified in a gasifier 2 is passed through a waste heat boiler 4 to recover the heat, and then exchanged heat in a heat exchanger 5 to a specified temperature. Slaked lime is added to the combustible gas during this course to fix the Cl and S in the gas, the fixed Cl and S together with dust are collected in a dust collector 6, and the gas is then heated in the exchanger 5 to a specified temperature and brought into contact with a catalyst in a tar reforming tower 7 to decompose the tar in the gas into hydrocarbons, etc. The reformed gas formed as a result of the decomposition of the tar is passed through an air preheater 8 to recover its heat and stored in a gas holder 9, while the air preheated in the preheater 8 is blown as a gasifying air into the gasifier 2.</p> |
