PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a layer thickness control blade for forming a thin and uniform toner layer on a toner carrying roller while reducing the charging amount. SOLUTION: In an image forming system where charged toner being carried in thin layer is flown, by applying a field, toward a recording sheet and a toner image is formed directly thereon, a layer thickness control blade 18 for forming a thin layer has the forward end part 18b touching the toner produced by prepolymer method. It is formed of insulating urethane rubber having hardness of 60-90 deg. measured by hardness test according to spring type hardness test A type. Tolerance of profile at the part touching the toner is set such that the straightness of the layer thickness control blade 18 is 0.2 mm or less in the longitudinal direction, the irregularities at the forward end part 18b is 20μm or less and the angle of a face constituting the forward end part 18b is 70 deg.-120 deg.. |
