PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proper abrasive grain space, also prevent early fall out of an abrasive grain. SOLUTION: In a vitrified grinding wheel comprising an abrasive grain 1 consisting of super abrasive grain of cubic system boron nitride (CBN) grain or diamond grain and a binding agent 3 binding and holding the abrasive grain 1 to consist of vitrified bond material, inside the binding agent 3, between itself and vitrified bond material forming the binding agent 3, is charged with aggregate 2 composed of chrome oxide (Cr2 O3 ) having good affinity. A grain size of this aggregate 2 is 5 to 50μm. These grains are accumulated in a condition of a particle group 22 with size thereof having a value about 1/3 or more the brasive grain 1, so as to interpose the particle group 22 thus accumulated in the binding agent 3. In this way, the vitrified grinding wheel ensuring a prescribed abrasive grain space is formed, improvement of grinding efficiency is attained, also by reinforcing the binding agent, early fall out of the abrasive grain is prevented.
