PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalytic reduction removal catalyst for nitrogen oxide by which nitrogen oxide is removed by catalytic reduction in the oxidative atmosphere at the temperature lower than heretofore even in coexistence of steam and sulfur oxides and to provide a catalytic reduction removal method of nitrogen oxide. SOLUTION: The catalytic reduction removal catalyst for nitrogen oxide contains at least one kind of metallic oxide selected from groups consisting of indium, tin, iron, copper, nickel, cobalt, manganese, chromium, platinum, palladium, rhodium and iridium, gallium oxide and aluminum oxide. Further, in the catalytic reduction removal method of nitrogen oxide, gas containing nitrogen oxide, oxygen and hydrocarbon or an oxygen-containing organic compound is brought into contact with the above-mentioned catalyst. |
