<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic composition such as cement using the steel slag obtained by kneading steel slag and an aqueous solution containing a chelate agent. SOLUTION: If the kind and concentration of the chelate agent in the aqueous solution and a ratio of the steel slag to the aqueous solution containing the chelate agent are adjusted, the steel slag can be used as the hydraulic composition such as cement. The steel slag expands on aging and produces powder, but in the case that the slag is used to cement, etc., if it is utilized in powder, the expansion and production of powder are hard to generate. In order to perfectly suppress those phenomena, aged steel slag is preferred to be used. The chelate agent is triethanolamine, triisopropanolamine or phenol, etc., which forms a chelate compound in a strong alkali solution, with trivalent metallic ions such as Fe, Al and Mn, and the concentration in the aqueous solution is preferred to be >=0.0005 wt.%.</p> |
