PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a treatment capability while kneading raw materials under adequate pressurizing force. SOLUTION: This composting material producing apparatus is constituted by providing a shaft body 9 for kneading which is arranged in a posture along a feed direction and is rotationally driven with several vane bodies 11 by lining up these vane bodies in the feed direction in the parts nearer the downstream side in the feed direction of a screw S in a kneading and treating chamber 7 than this screw and nearer the upstream side in the feed direction than a discharge port 7e. The device is provided with the vane bodies 11f for forward feeding acting to feed the raw materials in the same direction as the feed direction and the vane bodies 11r for backward feeding acting to feed the raw materials in the direction opposite to the feed direction as the vane bodies 11. The device is provided with the several vane bodies 11f for forward feeding and the several vane bodies 11r for backward feeding which are respectively distributed over the entire part of the feed direction in the parts nearer the downstream side in the feed direction of the screw S in the kneading and treating chamber 7 than this screw and nearer the upstream side in the feed direction than the discharge port 7e.
